TEDxAustin 2012 Talk: Todd Humphreys on GPS Technology

TedxAustin 2012: Beyond Measure

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending an entire day soaking up ideas and inspiration from a variety of speakers and attendees at TedxAustin: Beyond Measure. I’ve been a fan of TED(who isn’t?) ever since their videos started spreading online a few years ago. It opened up a whole new world for me, and sparked an interest in lifelong learning that had been dormant for a while. Finally, I got to have just a taste of that experience in person.

Steven Tomlinson on Playing Big: TEDxAustin 2010

I just discovered this presentation from TEDxAustin 2010 as I was searching for this year’s videos. It is an amazing presentation from Steven Tomlinson on his own experiences about looking for fulfillment (both professional and personal) in his work. This video(despite the maddeningly bad audio quality) struck such a chord with me that I immediately watched it again.

Robyn O’Brien’s Powerful TEDxAustin Presentation

This was easily the most emotional and impactful presentation at TEDxAustin this year. Robyn O’Brien tells her personal story about her child’s sudden food allergy and the road she took to find the truth about what’s in our food supply. Take the 20 minutes and watch this. She makes the best case I’ve heard about changing the path we are on with genetically modified foods.
