Oh, the daily commute. Mine used to be from the bedroom . . . to the spare bedroom. Now I get to share my trip with the masses. Well, this one’s for you, fellow Austinites. There are other roads than Lamar. Please take them. But if you can’t, and you have to share the road, try not to be one of these guys.

Very excited today to be attending my first sxsw interactive conference. I’ve lived in Austin for years, but never attended the conference. This year, I’m lucky that my employer is sending me so I’m going to soak up as much excitement, knowledge and good vibes as I can. See you out there and look for a recap here soon.

Trying a new layout to show Instagram images. Also showing some older shots that I took with my Nikon. Photos shot on higher-end equipment, then posted to Instagram have kinda irked me in the past. I have to remind myself that people are using it for a multitude of reasons and not to worry about comparing my photos with others.

I’ve gone through various workout modes in my life. I started out as an avid runner, then moved on to weight training, then swimming, followed by triathlons, a 4-year stint of couch-surfing and now I’m back in the groove with a focus on cross-training. I’m hitting the gym with frequency now, as I’m motivated by my realization that fitness = sanity.

I love Town Lake. It is the heart of Austin: Beautiful scenery, centrally located, trails, dogs and the occasional groovy public art. The only thing that keeps me away from it every day is my allergies. That, and the people on this list. You know em. You love em. Hell, you may be one of em.
